Terms and Conditions 

SECURING YOUR BOOKING

To secure a date for makeup application, a signed contract and booking fee is required at the time of booking. The booking fee for weddings which include bride and bridal party is £100 at the time of booking, this will pay for brides trial and secure their wedding date. The booking fee for weddings which include just the bride is £50 at the time of booking, this will pay for brides trial and secure the wedding date. The deposit is non refundable. The remaining payment is to be paid 4 weeks before wedding. For makeup application and makeup lessons a £20 booking fee is taken on the time of booking and the remaining payment is to be made a week before appointment. Please be advised, dates and scheduled makeup times will only be reserved when a signed contract and deposit are received.

A start and end time will be agreed by client and makeup artist Kelly Lord. Each makeup requires a certain length of time to be finished, the usual timeframe is approximately 1 hour per person. When reserving your date, please book accordingly. All persons involved in makeup appointments need to be available at the scheduled time of said appointment in order to not break the contract. For bridal parties, makeup must be at the same location and consecutive times (no gaps in between) unless agreed with makeup artist Kelly Lord. Makeup artist Kelly Lord will work alongside bride and other suppliers to create a makeup schedule for the wedding day to ensure the day runs smoothly.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Make Up Artist Kelly Lord reserves the right to terminate this contract for any non-compliance of terms, contract will become void, and all monies given are non-refundable. This booking arrangement cannot be changed after the artist arrives for the appointment. After receipt of the booking fee, if you, the client, chooses to cancel makeup artist Kelly Lord’s services, in full or in part, whether before or after the signature of this contract, makeup artist Kelly Lord shall be entitled to keep the non-refundable booking fee paid by the client, for all time incurred by the provision of the services.

If client were to cancel makeup or lesson booking less than 7 days in advance and bridal makeup less than 1 month in advance, they are not liable for refund.

If the makeup artist cancels at any time or be unable to perform her duties for any reason, and not be able to find a replacement makeup artist, the deposit paid will be fully refunded within 7 days. Client agrees that the refund of 100% of the deposit is the only liability to makeup artist Kelly Lord.

After receipt of the booking fee, if you, the client elects to postpone makeup artist Kelly Lord’s services due to covid-19, whether before or after the signature of this contract, makeup artist Kelly Lord will endeavour to swap your booking fee / contract to your new postponed date, subject to availability. You, the client will not incur any additional charges for the initial swap of date only.  If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of myself, I will endeavour to rectify such situations, however, no compensation will be offered. It is advisable for the client to take out wedding insurance to cover you against these situations.

SERVICE LOCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

At the location or venue, there are certain requirements the makeup artist needs to complete the makeup. A table/work area needs to be made available for the makeup artist at said location. Ample lighting, preferably natural light, for services to be performed properly. Makeup artist Kelly Lord will not be held liable for any injuries that should arise while on location, due to locations unsuitability.

Bridal trials, makeup application and makeup lessons will be held at the artists home salon in SY13. If client is unable to get to makeup artists location, artist may travel to clients home and travel charges apply at 30p per mile. Clients may only bring along one other person to their bridal trial is necessary.

LIABILITY

All brushes, tools and makeup products are kept sanitary and are sanitized between every makeup application. Any skin condition should be reported by the client, to the makeup artist, prior to application. This includes, but is not limited to, sensitivities, allergies, and medical conditions. Where possible, the makeup artist will choose products that should suit your skin type, according to the information provided. Everyone’s skin is different, and it is possible to be allergic to anything. A sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test reaction. Client(s) agree to release the makeup artist, Kelly Lord, from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions. The makeup artist is not liable for any adverse reactions to products used and cannot be held liable for any losses that are incurred due to adverse reactions to products used.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photos or film taken by myself on the day or by the professional photographer or videographer can be used for my own promotional use on website, Facebook, Instagram and all other social media and advertising purposes unless stated otherwise in writing via email prior to booking.

TRAVEL CHARGES 

Travel expenses are incurred from all services from the makeup studio in SY13. They are charged at a rate of 30p per mile return journey and calculated using postcodes. In circumstances when parking fees apply, the client will be required to cover the charges where the makeup services are being conducted, for example hotel parking and meter parking. Please contact prior to booking if there is limited parking at your location, due to the amount of heavy equipment brought along. If this has not been made aware of ahead of the wedding/event, Kelly Lord will not be held responsible for any delays this could cause.

PAYMENT

After deposit has been paid by bride, The remaining amount is to be paid 4 weeks before the wedding date. For makeup application and makeup lessons £20 booking fee is taken on time of booking and the remaining balance is paid a week before event. The payment methods are cash and bank transfer. Unless otherwise advised – no exceptions. The person(s) responsible for the entire balance of payment, is the person(s) who has signed the booking contract. No change will be given, so make sure correct amount is provided.
